| Hey folks - I've spent the day catching up on some of my paperwork since all the World Racers left for their respective homes this morning. I am tired, but significantly less distracted than I have been all week. It didn't take me long to get through my papers in my inbox. Starting tomorrow, I will begin to tackle the more important, and less defined projects. Oh, yay for that. I have an appointment in a few moments, but I thought I would right a short update as I continue to explain this week to you all, my dear friends. Much has happened in my heart and life in the last couple months since I've been here in Gainesville, for which I am so grateful. The faithfulness of God has been shown without measure, and he has pulled me from the slump I had allowed myself to fall into. As I've mentioned, I have been working for AIM in the World Race department, as an administrative assistant, or something like that. The Race is an amazing opportunity and sounded like fun, but seemed too daunting a trip on which to embark for a gal who's never been on a 'real' missions trip. I had believed the lies of the enemy that I was inadequate to share God's love with others or to 'make it', going anywhere. My heart's desire is to GO. I'm not sure that means long term or short, but at any rate, I desire to experience more of God. I know that the more I see and love other cultures, and experience the vastness of God's creation, then I will appreciate and love my Creator and Father more. Well, gotta go. Will finish later. |
